Cerner Trails

Project Location: Kansas City, MO

  • The Cerner Trails project included a polished concrete topping slab installed at the new Cerner Corporation Headquarters near I-435 and Bannister Rd in southeast Kansas City, Missouri. The design firm to lead the project was Gould Evans. Multiple samples were produced and reviewed before the final product was chosen. Musselman and Hall completed the lobby, corridors, common spaces, dining hall, and cafe using the Bomanite Renaissance custom concrete polishing system. M&H placed nearly 50,000 square feet of 3 inch thick integrally colored concrete for the unbonded concrete topping slab. The “Natural Gray” concrete slab was then ground and polished to a coarse aggregate exposure and a semi-gloss sheen finish. The project has won numerous awards in the decorative concrete industry since completed.
