Wexford Science and Technology Center

Project Location: St. Louis, MO

  • The Wexford Science and Technology Center is a 180,000 square feet multi-tenant building in the Cortex Innovation Community in the central west end of St. Louis, Missouri. Musselman and Hall Contractors was chosen to perform the concrete hardscape work which included decorative concrete paving and structural concrete seat walls with decorative concrete finishes. The project also included the following concrete sitework: concrete paving, concrete sidewalks, concrete curbs, and concrete retaining walls. There was an extremely aggressive deadline due to incoming tenants and M&H was up to the challenge. The project was supervised by Operations Manager, Kevin Ross, Concrete Superintendent, Scott Moellman, and Concrete Division Manager, Keith Ahal. Concrete crews from both Kansas City and St. Louis joined together to get the job completed on time. Jill Hutchison, Project Manager for the Tarlton Corp, general contractor on the building, said this, “Musselman and Hall was a great partner on the project. The construction team was tasked with delivering the plaza area between the 4220 and 4240 buildings in a compressed schedule due to redesign and permitting delays in a time when weather was a challenge. The entire Musselman & Hall team stepped up to the challenge and worked with Tarlton and our other subcontractors to deliver the plaza on time despite the delays to getting started.”
