Project Location: lEES SUMMIT, Missouri

Lee’s Summit High School in Lee’s Summit, MO, recently completed an $80 million renovation. The 60,000 SF expansion included a new centralized media center, outdoor learning spaces, and a comprehensive transformation of both the building's façade and its existing classrooms and public areas. The construction project took approximately two years to finish. Musselman & Hall Contractors, LLC was chosen to bring the architectural vision of decorative concrete to life, overseeing the extensive installation of the Bomanite Belcolore system throughout the public spaces and main corridors. The project also incorporated precast stair elements with monolithic treads and risers that seamlessly matched the flooring. The stakeholders selected Bomanite Charcoal Gray for the color-hardened, polished floors and precast treads. Installing the Belcolore finish on such a large scale, along with the integration of the precast treads, was uncharted territory not only for Musselman & Hall but for the industry as a whole.
