Omaha Riverfront Revitalization
Project Location: Omaha, Nebraska
-
The Omaha Riverfront Revitalization Project seeks to transform a 72-acre urban parkland along the Missouri River, revitalizing three previously underutilized parks—Gene Leahy Mall, Heartland of America, and Lewis and Clark Landing—into vibrant new attractions for both the local and regional communities. By improving river access and creating inviting outdoor spaces, the project will foster stronger connections within the city. These parks will not only enhance access to downtown Omaha but also support environmental sustainability and drive economic growth. Musselman & Hall was selected to install over 8,200 SF of Bomanite Revealed™ bonded overlay on existing walls and stairs. The process involved extensive planning and sampling to refine installation methods and ensure the desired results. The project posed significant challenges due to its complexity. Musselman & Hall carefully applied Brass-colored Bomanite Revealed™ at the right dosage, along with Bomanite Surface Deactivator to achieve the perfect finish. The depth of etching used was Standard Sand Etch, and White Bomanite Revealed™ was selected for the “white” overlay. Through these efforts, Musselman & Hall created a cohesive aesthetic across the various locations, tying together the different sections of the project seamlessly.
